For the second time in a month, there’s a new Kindle jailbreak method in the wild. MINISFORUM continues to make ridiculously powerful network attached storage systems. Lenovo is promising seven years of updates for its new premium Android tablets. And a developer found a nifty way to push content to his Xteink X3 pocket-sized eReader: by “printing” it.

A new Kindle Jailbreak called SpiderCat works with most recent models running firmware versions 5.16.3 through 5.19.5, works even on unregistered Kindles, and includes KPM (Kindle Package Manager), making it easy to install KOReader and other homebrew apps. It leverages a different exploit than the Vera jailbreak released last month.

A developer forked the CrossPoint Reader firmware for the Xteink X3 pocket-sized eReader and added support for treating it like a network printer, making it easy to “print” documents to the eReader from a computer or other devices on your network. www.hackster.io/news/looking…

The upcoming MINISFORUM N5 MAX-P495 is a is a NAS with support for up to 5 HDDs + 5 SSDs for up to 200TB of storage, up to 192GB of LPDDR5X-8533 memory and a Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495 chip. It won’t be cheap though -the previous-gen model with a Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor and 128GB of onboard RAM sells for $3599. And that’s before you add storage.
